The line begins by feeding the piece with a pile feeder. This feeder allows you to optimize space while still feeding a variety of products at high speeds. Other types of feeders can be easily integrated. Once fed, the piece enters the KEPES SPL35 imaging base.
This unique mail base is designed with today’s high resolution “drop-on-demand” imaging systems in mind. With a special vacuum system designed with very tight tolerances, this system allows you to get the imaging heads close to the substrate to insure the quality expected with today’s new imaging technology.
An integrated register table insures proper registration of product prior to imaging. After imaging the piece transfers into the dryer section where infrared dryers provide superior drying to all imaged areas at “lightspeed”.
Once dried, the piece passes into a buckle folder where it is folded and glued shut with an inplate hot-melt gluing system. By folding and gluing inline with the SPL35 customers save time and money by handling their mail products in one pass instead of the old method of folding and gluing or tabbing then transferring over to the mail base for further processing.
The unique design of the SPL35 Mail-base integrated with these other devices will take your mail processing in the 21st century.
